Lakewood Water District is planning to start a new R & R (Replacement and Rehabilitation) Project on or about June 28, 2021, involving new water mains and appurtenances.  At this time, we are going to replace old and worn water system materials with new materials which will improve water volume and fire protection and minimize water system failures in the future. The project limits are:

Starting and 39th Ave SW crossing 40th Street the running on the east side of 40th
Crossing to the west at the 40th and 100th Street intersection
Heading west of 100th, the turning crossing 100th over to the Private Clover Park School District Road.
Travelling south on Early to Irene, then southwest on Irene to Rowland
South on Rowland to tie in at Rowland and 108th

The contractor on this project is Miles Resources, LLC, Puyallup. We anticipate this project will take about 4 months to complete.  The construction will include the installation of new 16-inch, 12, and 8-inch water mains, fire hydrants, water service lines with meters and roadway restoration. We will have our inspector, Sam Bosma (253-279-1487), at the job site to ensure the progress and clean-up operations go smoothly. The Project Manager for Miles Resources, LLC is James Newhouse, who’s office Number is 253-383-3585 Ext 486, Cell Number 253-307-4911

We are hoping that there will be little inconvenience to you or your tenants, but we do know that some of the construction activities will be noticeable and will temporarily restrict access as the construction progresses.  However, when this project is completed, we will be able to better furnish to you the highest water quality and increased fire protection at the lowest cost.
